Additional details
This art installation represents how fears grow and can take over like a parasite spreading. We hold on to our fear while we let it consume us and everything around us. Fears feel constricting and prevent goals from being reached. Fears tangle, stretch and wrap to entrap; ropes imprison; webs expand catching the unwary who remain stuck. Using the blacklight made the white strings glow, revealing what could not be seen in normal light. This concept represents that people may not see or view fears, and it takes a certain perspective or blacklight to expose what threatens us personally.
